About the Event
The Bluegrass Lacrosse League was founded in August 2020. Over the past 4 years, the Bluegrass Lacrosse League has been extremely competitive and at the same time has introduced many players to the sport of lacrosse in Louisville. We look forward to an unbelievable season in 2024!
About Bluegrass Lacrosse League (BLL)
The Bluegrass Lacrosse League, based in Louisville, KY, offers a competitive league unlike any other in the area. Players register and are drafted to a team following the designated BLL combine day for their age group. Depending on age and experience, players are placed onto one of four BLL teams (Dragons, Huskies, Ninjas, Reapers) and are placed in one of two divisions (A or AA). Every player gets drafted to a team, this league is open to highly advanced players and players just starting out! By organizing teams into divisions, the BLL creates a highly competitive environment that helps players improve, maximize their game time, and, most importantly, have fun.
The Bluegrass Lacrosse League Mission
Our mission is to build a strong lacrosse community, nurture talent, and inspire the next generation of players through dedication, sportsmanship, and a shared passion for the game. By offering multiple divisions, we ensure that everyone, from beginners to advanced players, can participate and thrive.

INFORMATION
How it works :
- Players compete in the BLL Combine which consists of stick work, fundamental drills, and scrimmages.
- Players will be given a Jersey & BLL team Shorts (jerseys will need to be turned in at the end of the season players keep shorts)
- After the combine the coaches meet and players are drafted onto teams. There are 4 teams (Dragons, Huskies, Ninjas, Reapers) and each team has an "A" team and a "AA" team. This helps maximize playing time, reps, and also helps balance skill gaps.
- After the combine, your coach will send you an email letting you know what team you are on and whether it's the "A" team or "AA" team. Players can also be asked to play on both if numbers are low for that particular week.
- At the end of the regular season, each division will battle in a playoff to claim 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!
